Questions, answered.

How do I find out what theme a website is using?

Paste the website's address above. We read the public code of the page and show the platform, the theme name and version, and a link to get the theme. With the Chrome extension, it's one click on the site itself.

How can I tell which Shopify theme a store is using?

Every Shopify store publishes a small theme record. We read it and match the Theme Store ID to the real theme, so you see "Dawn" or "Impulse" even when the store renamed it to something like "Copy of Live Theme". The store's own label is shown separately.

How do I find out what WordPress theme a site uses?

WordPress themes declare their name, author and version at the top of a style.css file. We find the active theme folder, read that header, tell parent and child themes apart and list the plugins we can see, including WooCommerce.

What CMS is this website built with?

We recognize nearly 50 platforms, including Shopify, WordPress, WooCommerce, Magento, BigCommerce, Squarespace, Wix, Webflow, Drupal and Joomla, along with frameworks like Next.js and the hosting it runs on.

Why can't it find a theme for some websites?

Wix, Squarespace 7.1, Webflow and Framer copy a template into each site and never publish its name. Headless and custom built sites don't use a theme at all. Some sites also hide their fingerprints or block automated visits. Either way, we tell you which case you're looking at.

Is it free? Do you keep the sites I check?

Yes, it's free. We don't keep a history of the sites you check or tie them to you. Results are cached for a few hours so repeat lookups are fast.

Do you use affiliate links?

Some links, such as theme marketplaces, hosting and website builders, are partner links. If you sign up or buy through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. It never changes what we detect.
